In his work, Dr. Piñol developed patient-derived midbrain organoid models to better understand the mechanisms of severe Tyrosine Hydroxylase Deficiency and explore potential therapeutic strategies. His thesis was highly praised by the examination committee for its scientific quality and clinical relevance.
